Student-athlete should demonstrate leadership qualities by:
Being a positive role model for other students both on and off the field.
Exhibiting an ability to help a teammate overcome adversity.
Showing a commitment to self-improvement.
Putting the needs of the team before themselves.
Academic standing: Senior student/athletes who apply for the FCIAC exemplary scholar-athlete of the month should have a minimum of a 3.5 average their high school career. Athletic Directors will verify academic information with their Guidance Department.
Six recipients per year (2 per season) will be selected from each school for what is the most prestigious scholar-athlete award presented by the FCIAC.
