STAMFORD — Sometimes it takes a village. And on Friday night, the St. Joseph High School girls basketball team employed an 11-deep player roster to earn a 43-30 road triumph over Trinity Catholic High at Walsh Court.
“We played 11 kids and that allowed us to do different things on the court. Everybody gave us their best effort,” St. Joseph’s veteran coach Chris Lindwall said. “We don’t have a 25-point scorer. But we have kids who play hard.”
The Cadets led wire to wire to post their first victory of the season. St. Joseph (1-4, 1-2 FCIAC) led 9-2 after one period, 16-9 at halftime and 28-18 after three quarters.
