DANBURY — It was a game that needed a spark from somewhere.
For the Danbury girls basketball team, that somewhere came in the form of senior Ty’Lynn Ith.
Ith scored 10 of her 14 points in less than three minutes late in the third quarter, helping the Hatters beat Darien 49-35 Monday evening. A nip-and-tuck contest was blown open by the stretch.
“She’s amazing and I don’t think she understands how good she could be,” said Hatters coach Jackie DiNardo. “Sometimes she tries too much not to go as hard as she can, but if they let her get started she is not going to stop. That’s the athlete in her.”
