DARIEN — The Xavier and New Canaan boys ice hockey teams put their unbeaten overtime records on the line after finishing tied in regulation on Wednesday. Both emerged from the extra session unscathed.
In game which delivered a little bit of everything, No. 8 Xavier and No. 4 New Canaan skated to a 3-3 tie in a thriller at the Darien Ice House. Each team responded to a one-goal deficit in the third period and they fittingly ended deadlocked.
