WILTON — Tucker Milligan’s 99-yard interception return for a touchdown against Wilton surprised even New Canaan football coach Lou Marinelli. But it wasn’t that Milligan or the Rams’ defense could make a big play.
“I didn’t realize he was that fast,” Marinelli said with a laugh.
Milligan’s long pick six was just one of the many highlights for the New Canaan defense, which scored 21 points off three turnovers and pitched a third consecutive shutout in a 45-0 rout of Wilton Friday night at Fujitani Field.
