DARIEN — Five days, two long road trips, three games against teams ranked in the state’s top six, and, oh yes, there were school exams at the same time.
It’s been a heck of a week for the Darien girls ice hockey team.
The Blue Wave overcame a tremendous comeback bid by the Stamford/Westhill/Staples co-op and escaped with a 3-2 victory to clinch the FCIAC’s No. 1 seed Wednesday at the Darien Ice House.
