STAMFORD—In the offseason, Trumbull coach Buddy Bray had to decide what style his team would play.
The Eagles are traditionally a half-court grind-it-out type of team but with his entire team back from last season and two of the best players in the FCIAC in Timmond Williams and Chris Brown surrounded by high-quality players around them, Bray was convinced to let the Eagles fly.
Fly they did Wednesday night, pulling away from host Stamford in the second half en route to an 84-70 win.
