TRUMBULL — Trumbull’s Timmond Williams was great when he needed to be, and his teammates played well throughout the Eagles’ 77-64 victory over host Fairfield Ludlowe on Monday night.
Williams scored 20 points in the first half, each basket more telling than the next, as the FCIAC rivals went at it for 32 minutes.
“Timmond caught on fire in that first half,” Trumbull coach Buddy Bray said. Then we had balanced scoring from everyone. I’m happy with the way we played. This was a good team win.”
