Danbury defeated St. Joseph on Wednesday, setting the final three seeds for the FCIAC boys soccer tournament, which begins with quarterfinal games on Friday.

Quarterfinals – Friday, Oct. 27
No. 5 Ludlowe (8-5-2) at No. 4 Stamford (8-4-3) at West Beach Park, 3:15 p.m.
No. 8 Warde (6-5-4) at No. 1 Staples (11-1-3), 3:30 p.m.
No. 7 Danbury (7-3-5) at No. 2 Greenwich (11-2-2), 4 p.m.
No. 6 Brien McMahon (8-5-2) at No. 3 Trumbull (10-4-1), 5 p.m.
Semifinals – Monday, Oct. 30
At Fairfield Ludlowe, 5 and 7 p.m.
Final – Thursday, Nov. 2
At Norwalk HS, 7 p.m.

The top four seeds have been clinched with Staples leap-frogging over Greenwich into the No. 1 spot following a 4-3 win over Westhill on Tuesday. While the Wreckers gained three points, Greenwich gained one for its scoreless tie with Warde, as the Cardinals took the No. 2 seed/
Staples, Greenwich, Trumbull and Stamford, the top four seeds, will host quarterfinal home games on Friday. Warde is the eighth seed and will play at Staples.
The fifth through seventh seeds will be Brien McMahon, Ludlowe and Danbury, although the final order hinges on the result of Danbury’s game against St. Joseph on Wednesday.
